Gift Card FAQ�s
Where can gift cards be purchased?
Gift Cards can be purchased at Mall Services, located in center court, during regular Mall hours.
Large orders, such as bulk business orders, may take up to 1 business day to complete. Business orders may be made with a company check, credit card or cash. Please contact Mall Services at (716) 633-1600.
What tender type(s) are accepted for payment?
Gift Cards can be purchased using cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
In what amounts can the gift cards be purchased?
Gift Cards are available in any denomination from $5 to $500.
Is there a fee to purchase a gift card?
A processing fee of just $1.00 is charged for each gift card. Club Eastern Hills members are eligible to receive a reduced fee of $0.50 per card. Club Eastern Hills is free to join. Membership is available here or you can sign up at Mall Services at the time of your gift card purchase.
Large orders may be able to have fees waived, please contact Mall Services for more information.
Can the gift cards be purchased online?
For the security of our customers, gift cards can not be purchased online at this time.
Where is the gift card accepted?
Eastern Hills Mall gift cards are accepted at all mall retailers who accept MasterCard. Nearly all mall retailers accept MasterCard.
Are there different gift card design(s) available?
The Eastern Hills Mall gift card features one design. However, there are several different packaging designs to choose from including holiday and birthday designs. The gift card packaging is included at no cost.
How can a customer find the available balance on the gift card?
The value of the gift card will be written on the back of the gift card and may be listed with the materials that came with the gift card at the time of purchase. Other options include calling the number on the back of the gift card, checking online at www.getmybalance.com, or visiting Mall Services, located in center court, during normal business hours.
What if the gift card is declined?
If a transaction is declined, the customer should check the balance (see, "How can a customer find the available balance on the gift card?"), tell the cashier how much is available on the gift card to use towards the purchase, and pay the remainder with another form of payment.
Can other forms of payment be used with the gift card when making a purchase?
Yes. The customer should inform the cashier how much to deduct from the gift card and how much to deduct from the other payment method(s). Please note that some stores are not able to split purchases between gift cards and credit or debit cards. In these cases, a customer may need to pay the difference in cash or check.
What if the gift card is lost or stolen?
Contact Mall Services, located in the center court or call (716) 633-1600 as soon as you realize the card has been lost or stolen. The funds on the card can be locked to prevent fraudulent use and to give you time to look for the card.
It is possible that the funds from the lost or stolen card can be transferred to a new gift card?
It is important to save the original receipt that was provided at the time of the gift card purchase. We can use the receipt to retrieve the remaining balance on the lost or stolen gift card and transfer it to a new card. A $5 transfer fee applies.
What if the gift card is physically damaged?
Contact Mall Services, located in center court, or call the number on the back of the gift card.
Is there a fee to transfer the balance from one gift card to another?
Yes. If you loose or damage your gift card and require that the balance be transferred to a new card, a $5 fee applies.
What are the Account Maintenance Fee (AMF) details of your program?
An Account Maintenance Fee of $2.50 will be deducted from the card balance each month beginning after 12 months of inactivity. To avoid or stop account maintenance fees, simply make a transaction using the gift card at any Eastern Hills Mall retailer who accepts Mastercard.
How are returns, exchanges, or disputes handled?
Merchants may credit funds, subject to their return policy, back to the gift card used to make the original purchase. For this reason, it is very important that customers keep gift cards and receipts. Funds credited by the merchant will be available 3-5 days after the return is processed. If the gift card is not present, the merchant may issue a store credit, store valued gift card or exchange. Please note that voided transactions may take up to 7 days to be credited back to the gift card�s available balance.
Can the cardholder re-load the gift card by putting more money on it?
No, the gift card is not re-loadable. However, returns and credits can be applied.
